4th Chakra Mala – Green Agate and Jade with Old Brass Buddha
This 4th Chakra Mala has 108 beads with Jade for the guru and an old brass buddha on the tassel. In my designs, I like to think of the tassel as the concentration for the chakra you might want to concentrate on or need more energy for. This mala is a 4th Chakra design.
4th Chakra – Heart – Love — 4th Chakra is all about love and self love. It reflects the ability to give and take unconditionally. When this chakra is balanced, we are able to give love to others and nurture ourselves. Then we feel compassion, generosity and harmonious. When off, we can become indifferent and jealous. Green connects us to unconditional love and is used for balancing our whole being.
Agate – Balance, precision, perception, eliminates negativity.
Jade – The ultimate “Dream Stone,” revered to access the spiritual world, gain insight into ritualistic knowledge, encourage creativity, and dream-solve. A protective talisman, assuring long life and a peaceful death, and considered a powerful healing stone. An amulet of good luck and friendship, Jade signifies wisdom gathered in tranquility, dispelling the negative and encouraging one to see oneself as they really are.
Buddha – One who is awake, having ‘woken up to reality’. A Buddha is free from greed, hatred and ignorance, and characterized by wisdom, compassion and freedom. Enlightenment brings insight into the deepest workings of life, and therefore into the cause of human suffering.
Malas, or Japa malas , are a set of beads usually made from 108 beads, though other numbers are also used. Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This practice is known in Sanskrit as japa.
